How To Make Your Own Healthy Nut Butter

If like me you LOVE all types of nut butter (special mention to cashew and almond butter), then you probably know that it is not a cheap addiction! 

Cashew & Almond butter are tremendous alternatives to peanut butter (estrogenic), and a brilliant dipping sauce for your snacks. Think carrots dipped in Cashew butter…Yummm!

Well thanks to some trial and error, I managed to come up with my own home-made nut butter! It tastes amazing, and is very simple to make…As long as you have patience.

There isn’t really too much to tell as the only ingredients are the nuts. In my case I used Cashews. Remember it only has ONE ingredient. No water, oil nothing. This is where the patience has to come in.

There will be times when your resolve will waiver, you may curse me, The DVCC, your dog…But hold strong it will be worth it in the end! You will be left with a lovely creamy, healthy nut butter!

Method

Place roasted (it takes longer but is worth it!) nuts into the blender – a Vitamix is our preferred blender – and blend slowly….For 10 Minutes!

Keep scraping the sides of your blender, and give the blender a rest at regular intervels throughout.
