Smoked Tofu Rashers

Smoked Tofu Rashers.jpegShopping & Ingredients List:

  • 200g Smoked Firm Tofu
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Marinade

  • 1-2 tbsp Tamari
  • ½ tsp Smoked Paprika

To add at the end of frying

  • 1 tbsp nutritional Yeast Flakes
  • Black Pepper, to own taste 

Method

  1. Slice the smoked tofu as thinly as you can. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, make the marinade by mixing the soya sauce with the smoked paprika. 
  3. Place the rashers in a large baking tray & drizzle with the marinade – using a pastry brush will distribute it more evenly –  let it sit for a few minutes.
  4. Using non-stick frying pan, heat up some oil in the pan on a high heat until it is very hot.
  5. Fry the tofu slices until quite crispy. Add the yeast flakes and black pepper & fry quickly so it goes a bit crispy.
