The Metabolic Damage Solution™ is a DVCC trademarked process.
Josh: Hi, this is Josh from the DVCC; I am just doing a quick interview here with Dave Sexton. Dave has been doing the Metabolic Damage Solution for a little while now. I thought it would help a lot of people to hear about what he has done, what results he has got, what helped him – and what he found difficult.
So, over to you Dave, what day are you on of the Metabolic Damage Solution?
Dave: I am on day 12 at the moment.
Josh: And I know you had a little cheeky hop on your bathroom scales a few days ago; how much weight had you lost?
Dave: In the first seven days I lost 13 lbs.
Josh: It does seem, if I remember I saw you on Monday, that you’re a changed man, over the weekend!
Dave: A lot of people have said that, in just one week!
Josh: It is true – well, 13 lbs in seven days is pretty good going if you ask me.
Dave: I’m just gutted that I didn’t make a stone.
Josh: That will come – you have week 2 coming up! Can you just give us a general overview of your experience on the Metabolic Damage Solution so far?
Dave: The first week I did find very difficult; energy levels are low, as it says in the brochure; but my energy level has picked up a bit now.
Josh: Good – you are your sprightly self, which is good to see! What helped you get through it?
Dave: Michelle – she has been doing it as well, so it is quite easy when both of us are doing it; we don’t have to prepare two lots of food.
Josh: That is good, so you have had a little bit of support there. Take us through a typical day of food for you.
Dave: Normally, for breakfast, I have scrambled egg; I have now started putting a few bacon bits in this, to give it more flavour, because otherwise it is a little bland. For lunch I usually have a steak burger or a steak, with green salad – I have been putting some bacon bits on there as well; I also add some balsamic vinegar, to add flavour. In the evenings, steak or steak burger, gluten free sausages and green vegetables.
Josh: No avocados?
Dave: No! Avocados are definitely not on my menu.
Josh: For anyone listening, Dave does not get along well with avocados. What has been the most difficult thing for you?
Dave: Cutting out a lot of the foods I like, and coffee. Coffee is the main thing, as I do tend to drink a lot of it.
Josh: How many coffees did you drink?
Dave: I probably had about 7 a day
Josh: 7 a day is a lot! But you are down to how many now?
Dave: One – that might be the reason why the energy levels are low!
Josh: Good for you though! At least it will be more consistent, when all is said and done. One thing I know that has helped you, in regards to snacking and eating at regular intervals, is that you have started making your own Biltong. I can tell everyone out there that it tastes really good, so I will let Dave explain a little more.
Dave: This is a South African dried meat, which is very easy to make; you just need a box with a fan and a light, blowing hot air over the meat and it is ready within 3-5 days.
Josh: It is ideal, and full of protein; it’s easy to eat on the go, just put it in a Tupperware container and take it with you – you don’t need to keep it refrigerated. Have you got any favourite meals from the Metabolic Damage Solution?
Dave: Probably the mince I make.
Josh: Could you give us a little verbal recipe?
Dave: Yes, it is the grass fed mince, with green beans, onions and gluten free stock cubes which I have been adding.
Josh: Nice – and do you cook that in batches?
Dave: Yes; one lot will probably do me 3 meals.
Josh: So that’s convenient; that way you save preparation and cooking time, etc. I suppose we should end with this – you are on day 12 right now; on day 15 you are allowed your metabolic reset meal; have you got it all planned out?
Dave: Yes, definitely. It is going to be sausage and chips, followed by a nice cheesecake!
Josh: Good! Thank you very much for that, Dave; hopefully everyone reading this article has found at least one thing that will help them on the Metabolic Damage Solution; so you can emulate the great results that Dave has achieved. Thank you very much!
Dave: You’re welcome.
