Hi! This is Mark from TheDVCC.com In today’s video, I’m going to give you a quick tip that will hopefully help you stay eating healthy when you’re on the road, working or just simply eating out.
Eating Healthy on the Road
Now a lot of people feel that when they eat out, they’re kind of stuck to whatever’s on the menu, and that’s all they can eat.
Create Your Own Dish
In my experience, we’re heading more towards the American way where we can pretty much order whatever we want and make our own dishes up. So whenever I eat out, I generally never eat straight from the menu. I’ll just kind of pick and choose and make up my own dish based on what I know is healthy. So often it will be simply chicken and lots of vegetables. And most vegetables are really, really helpful. They will basically cook up whatever you want. So that’s one little tip.
Always Have Some Dry Good Fats Handy
Another little tip is to always have some good fats with you. So things that you can carry around, especially when you’re out in the car, driving to meetings or whatever, you want to have some coconut flakes, some cashews, almonds. Just dry fats. So dry healthy fats that you can have because they’re going to really prolong or get rid of the hunger pangs that might lead you to kind of having sugary snacks. So that’s my main tip, is to always have some healthy fats with you for whenever you’re out kind of on the road or away from normal ability to eat well.
