The Role of Testosterone in Building Muscles
So I get asked a fair bit why it’s tougher for ladies to put on muscle compared to men. Now you’ll notice the difference between a man and woman. Men have lower voices, they are generally bigger, they have more muscle tone in general just naturally. Now men have a lot higher testosterone. This is making the testes and it’s a required function of a man versus a woman. So testosterone is what generally enables someone to put on the muscle and put on muscle tone and that’s why you’ll notice female bodybuilders look very, very muscular and this is one of the reasons the ladies that are perhaps using synthetic hormones, such as testosterone injected into them to put on muscle and that’s why they start gaining male attributes.
Women Can Put on Muscle…A Bit Slower Though
So if you want to put on muscle as easy as a man, then you kind of need to go down that route and I don’t think you would like the side effects that you would perhaps get. But it is not noted to say that women can’t put on muscle tone, it is just that is why women put on muscle tone slower than men. They don’t have as much testosterone, therefore, they will just put on muscle a little bit slower. But you’ll also notice that men nowadays are becoming, they say, they are becoming more female in the fact that they have less testosterone because they are eating more refined foods and they are not eating the natural grass-fed beef and natural foods that actually promote testosterone.
The Key is Eating Healthily and Daily Exercise
So as a lady, you want to eat as healthily as you can and you want to produce the right amount of testosterone and you will put on muscle tone gradually and healthily over the months. Also the same goes for men, you want to be putting on muscle tone and your testosterone should naturally be higher than a lady, so you also need to eat healthily and exercise.
