The DVCC Personal Training Gyms, along with our dedicated team of first-class personal trainers, are here to guide you through important, sustainable changes to your exercise routine and lifestyle choices.

So far, we’ve worked with more than 5,000 people to transform their bodies, health, and lives in amazing ways!

After 15 years in the fitness industry, we’ve seen it all. Diet and exercise fads come and go. We’ve heard about them, tried some of them and finally decided that following a fad never pays off. Why? Because we’re invested in your long-term health, and fad diets are not sustainable. Instead, we’ve carved out our own path. We’ve perfected our methods through testing and continuous updates.

Bottom line: At The DVCC, we specialise in working with people who simply aren’t motivated by normal gyms. We help them to find a lifestyle that really suits them and with sessions from 6am-9pm ALL day, we have eliminated time being as an issue.

When do you accept new clients?
A:

Whenever you’re ready to start! We believe in personalised programs and a friendly and relaxed environment at The DVCC, which is why we keep our numbers limited. We may not always be able to accept you at the centre of your choice, if we’re at maximum capacity. But we can recommend another centre near you, or keep you on a waiting list for the location of your choice.

Even though our programs are designed and structured over a twelve month period, we accept new members at any time of the year. If you’re not sure if you’re ready to commit to DVCC just yet, why not trial The DVCC for 6 weeks and get the life changing results you’ve always wanted. Not only that, it will enable you to see which type of training best suits your needs.

Who is The DVCC for?
A:

The DVCC is for people who want to get in shape and be healthier than ever before in their lives – for the rest of their lives. It’s not about fads and dieting, it’s about achievable, long term results.

We’re here for people who want accountability, who need an exercise program to follow and a coach to help keep them on track, no matter how busy their schedules and lives.

Who is The DVCC NOT for?

The DVCC is not for catwalk models, professional bodybuilders, or even high-level athletes, who are training in one particular sport.

We’re also not suited to people who already have the accountability they need.

If you’re already great at sustaining your health and fitness habits and disciplined about exercise and healthy eating, The DVCC is probably not for you.

Will The DVCC work for me?
A:

Yes. As long as you follow our indications, you will see major results.

But, remember that you’ll need to commit to making all those small strategic changes needed in your life.

You’ll need time, hard work and a little dedication, because, we’re not going to lie to you – it’s not easy to change your body, but it is possible.

What are your qualifications? Why are you fit to be coaches?
A:

We’re Steve and Mark Gray, co-founders of The DVCC. Our whole lives have been about fitness and nutrition. From being professional rugby players for the Bedford Blues, to taking our personal instructor qualifications, we’ve always been focused on getting fitter, performing better – and helping others to do the same.

At The DVCC, we’re proud of our talented hardworking coaching team made up of trained and dedicated professionals from different walks of life.

We’ve successfully coached and mentored thousands of people from all different backgrounds through our coaching programs, education courses and nutritional advice.

If you’re looking for the best, you’re looking for The DVCC. You won’t find a more highly trained group of coaches anywhere else in the UK. All of our dedicated staff take a minimum of 200 hours training in their first year alone with us, so that they’re prepared to treat people with different needs, goals and conditions. What will I learn at The DVCC Personal Training Gyms?
A:

Q:
Will I get some kind of meal plan?
A:

No, you won’t get a meal plan, we don’t give those out. Why? Because meal plans generally are restrictive and don’t give you the long term nutritional habits you need. 

Whether it’s Paleo, low carb, high protein or juice cleansing, meal plans are hard to follow and unsustainable. Seeing as we want you to get results for life, meal plans aren’t compatible with our way of training.

So, with the help of your coach and our In-House Nutrition Coach, you’ll get to choose which foods are best for you, when you should be eating them and in what quantity. It’s called habit based nutritional coaching…And it’s the future!

Why do you offer this type of Gym?
A:

Our Rugby coach, Mark Haw, made a huge difference in our lives. He was always our best mentor and taught us early on, how to respect our bodies.

Why do I need DVCC Personal Training Gym? Can't I just read articles online or buy a diet book?
A:

Stop and think for a moment. Consider all the people that you look up to and admire in your life. You’ll probably notice a pattern.

Humans are hardly ever transformed simply from watching a documentary, reading a book, or listening to a talk show.

The most transformative changes occur in humans when we’re in a relationship with another human – a coach – who inspires us to be a better version of ourselves.

Sure, you can buy a diet book, read an article or watch a TV show. If you can reach a transformation after doing that, we applaud you!

But if you have a little trouble in taking action and committing to using the information you’ve learnt, The DVCC might just be for you.

Q:
Do you hate fitness books and blogs?
A:

You may not believe it, but we actually get this question quite a lot. But the answer is no – we don’t hate blogs and books. We love blogs, in fact we regularly update our own. And as for books, they’re pretty great too!

But here’s the thing about diet and fitness books – they hardly ever help us make the dramatic life-changes we need to.

Because books tend to give us too much information all up front, you get all excited about trying out a new approach to fitness – for about a day – and then you forget about it again.

While you may think that you need to learn everything all at once, research shows us that when it comes to self-improvement, the best way to change is doing one thing at a time

That’s why being led and guided by someone else and coaching, along with social support in a friendly environment is so important.

Because of that, our formula for success is simple: We promise coaching, support and life-changing results.

Which is not something normally found in a book.  

Q:
I'm a beginner with no experience of losing weight or gyms, will this work for me?
A:

Yes. We work with all types of people! From experts to beginners, fitness fanatics to couch potatoes. We all have to start somewhere, and even Steve and myself were beginners at some point. We’ll adapt our program to suit your needs and make sure that it’s flexible enough for a beginner.

You’ll see that everyone comes in different shapes, sizes and with different goals, wants and needs. From beginners, to those with a little more experience at healthy living.

Q:
I am NOT a beginner. Will The DVCC work for me? Will it be too easy?
A:

Many of our clients have five or more years of experience at getting fit and eating healthily. It’s not a “one size fits all” program. We tailor our coaching to everyone’s individual needs.

Sometimes, it’s just easier to hand over the control to someone else. When we invest ourselves in nutritional coaching and let others guide the way, it’s easier for us to stick to.

Not only do we coach people with some experience, but we’ve actually helped tons of personal trainers to reach their peak of fitness.  

Q:
What if my goal is to be healthier and eat better? What if I don't want to lose weight?
A:

If you don’t have weight to lose, or not a lot of weight, you’re starting out with a great advantage.

Being fit for life is about way more than weight loss, after all. If you kept losing weight, you’d eventually disappear – and we don’t need that on our conscience! With The DVCC, you will learn how to keep your body in shape and toned and you’ll also develop a healthier attitude to food – which is something most people don’t know how to do. 

Q:
If I want to build muscle, will this work for me?
A:
Yes – We’re particularly experienced in helping people to follow programs to build muscle.
Q:
If I want to join with a friend or partner, can we do the program together?
A:

Of course you can! Losing weight, gaining muscle and changing your fitness habits is hard. The easiest way of reaching your goals is through support and help. We encourage you to get friends and family involved.

Is this program for young people only?
A:

No way! We coach men and women of all ages! It’s never too late to start. In fact the average age of our clients is 50-80yrs.

I already go to a "normal gym". Is this program helpful for me?
A:
  1. Do you need motivation and to know you are doing things right? If you do, you should think about joining us for 6 weeks to feel educated and empowered with your health & fitness.
  1. Do you want to get fitter yourself? If you do, then you should think about taking this program! That way, you’ll enjoy the advantages for yourself before perhaps going back to your “normal gym”…Or you may well catch The DVCC bug!

What if I don't want to spend the money?
A:

Well, you know what? You have to look at it as an investment, not a cost. Why? Because The DVCC Personal Training Gyms will give you so many benefits that you’d want to pay thousands of pounds for, for a very small price! Here are just a few:

Do I have to take progress photos?

Progress photos are optional, but we do encourage them, yes!

Visually documenting the changes you’re making while on the course with us is a great way of pushing yourself to do better. Because sometimes you may feel like you’re not seeing results – but then you check your photos and see the change.

Of course, we’d never feature your photo without asking your permission to do so. So, you can always trust that your personal information is safe with us at all times.

Your pictures will be completely private unless you give us your consent to share your awesome results with the rest of the world!

We want to help people change their bodies and change their lives. We’re certainly not in this to embarrass anyone, or make them feel bad. So, opt in or opt out of the photo process, it’s completely up to you.

(But, we do encourage that you sing your results to the treetops! You’ve worked hard and deserve to show off your hard work!)

How much do The DVCC Trial programs cost?
A:

Our 6 Week Mini Membership allows you to experience the only upscale fitness centre for the over 40’s!

Q:
Will I be made to buy expensive supplements?
A:

When it comes to supplements, we recommend some health-oriented products, depending on your needs and goals, health and physical state. These are completely optional and you will never be forced into buying anything. 

Q:
Do I need to join a "normal gym" as well?
A:

Actually, no, because we have sessions running from 6am-9pm you will always be able to fit your sessions in. However, for those times when you can’t make it to The DVCC, we provide exercises that can be done at home, on the road, or wherever you are.

Q:
I like to (swim, play hockey, do yoga, run marathons etc). Can I still do all the things I love while being a client at The DVCC?
A:

Absolutely! You have to keep doing what you love! This isn’t about taking away from your life – it’s about adding things.

The whole point of The DVCC Personal Training gyms is to learn about eating and exercising in fun and sustainable ways, living a fuller, happier life – not stopping you doing the things you love.

All you need to do is figure out how and when to combine these activities with your other sports – and that’s what we’re here for. 

Q:
I have some injuries. Can I still do the program?
A:

Yes, you definitely can.

We’ve all suffered an injury at some point in time, actually, here you can read more about training with injury.

At The DVCC Personal Training gyms, we’ll tailor different exercises to suit your needs.

After signing up with us, you’ll work closely with your coach and they will adapt the program to your needs and help you heal.

Q:
I follow a special diet (vegan, vegetarian, Paleo, intermittent fasting). Can I still do this?
A:

Yes, all of our nutrition advice is optional and easily adaptable and we are open-minded and happy to work with anyone, no matter what their dietary preferences.

 Just let us know and we’ll help out.

When do The DVCC Trials start?
A:
